Cleaning Air Conditioner Filter of Your Motorhome or RV


RV air conditioner system has filter units to clean the air. There are two types of filters - Washable units and disposable one-time-use units. So first of all, your job is to make sure of the type of filter. If you choose to get a disposable filter unit, you just need to buy a fresh product and replace the old one. Removing the filter unit

The first step is to remove the filter unit from the cooling system. Start with turning off the electrical supply of the air conditioner. Remove the protective cover. And remove the filter unit. If you are a beginner, you shall read AC’s user manual.

Vacuuming dirt and dust

Dry the unit and placing it again

Let it air-dry for several hours before installing it back in the AC.

Tip: You may take photographs of the filter in the beginning to just keep a note of how it was placed.
